About Antonio Vita
Antonio Vita is a New York City artist with family roots from Italy and Canada. Antonio specializes in modern-impressionist paintings in the chiaroscuro technique.
Chiaroscuro is an Italian term meaning 'light-dark' and describes a renaissance art-form. Traditionally used to create 3-dimensional portraits, Antonio has applied this classical technique to obscure object, such as chairs. The viewer is compelled to imagine them self in the painting, thereby completing the portrait nature of the chiaroscuro technique.
Antonio's works have been displayed in numerous galleries, sold by interior designers and purchased by collectors in the Americas and Europe. Please visit our online Gallery to view Antonio's latest collection.
